If you have kids, there is a 99% chance you have Crocs in your house. And somehow they always end up looking like they have been through a full adventure. Dirt, playground dust, snack crumbs, mystery marks, you name it.
Here is an easy way to clean them using Mint Cleaning Scrub, plus the brushes that make the whole thing faster.
What you need
-
A sink, laundry sink, or a tote
-
Warm water
-
Mint Cleaning Brush for tight spots and the little holes
-
Towel for drip drying
Tip: A sink is great, but if you have a laundry sink or a tote, those are awesome options too.
Step by step
1. Quick rinse
Rinse the Crocs to knock off loose dirt and grit first.
2. Fill your sink or tote
Fill with warm water, then add a scoop of Mint Cleaning Scrub. Swish it around so it mixes in.
3. Soak
Drop the Crocs in and let them sit for a bit. Soaking helps soften the grime in the tread and along the textured footbed. For extra dirty Crocs, let them soak longer.
4. Scrub with the Mint Bamboo Dish Brush
Use the bamboo dish brush to scrub the outside, the soles, and the footbed. The bristles are perfect for lifting dirt without a lot of effort.
5. Get the hard to reach spots with a Mint Cleaning Brush
Now use your smaller cleaning brush for the tricky areas:
-
The tread and edges of the sole
-
Around the strap and the hinge points
-
All those little holes
-
If the Crocs have Jibbitz charms, this is the best way to tackle the gunk around them
Scrub inside and out using both brushes until everything looks clean.
6. Soak a bit longer
After scrubbing, let them soak again for a little longer. This helps lift anything you loosened.
7. Rinse well
Rinse thoroughly with clean water until there is no residue left, especially in the holes and tread.
8. Air dry only
Shake off the extra water and let them air dry.
Do not put them by a heater and do not use heat to dry them. Heat can warp or shrink Crocs, so air drying is the move.

-
Use your dish brush to scrub the sink quickly, including around the drain
-
Rinse again and wipe or let it air dry
If you used a tote
-
Dump the water out and rinse the tote
-
Add a small sprinkle of Mint Cleaning Scrub and a bit of water
-
Scrub with the dish brush, then rinse clean
-
Let the tote air dry
Extra tips for even better results
-
Pop out Jibbitz charms (if you can) first if you want to clean around the holes more easily, then wash the charms gently and let them dry
-
For stubborn marks, add a tiny bit more scrub directly on the spot and go in with the smaller brush
-
If they smell, sprinkle some Mint Deodorizer inside overnight, then tap it out in the morning once fully dry
-
Avoid leaving Crocs in hot sun or using any heat to speed up drying
